I was asked by the Burnley Words Festival to design and build the website for Burnley ViewPoint, a new hyperlocal journalism project born out of the festival’s workshops. The aim was to create a platform where local writers and creatives could share their work and highlight Burnley’s unique stories.
Launched in December 2024, the site serves as a hub for community-driven content—stories, poetry, and photography—while giving contributors an easy way to upload and manage their work.
Alongside designing and developing the site, I also ran workshops to teach the team how to use Webflow, so they could confidently update content and maintain the platform independently.
This project let me combine design with my passion for supporting local communities, and I’m proud to have helped shape Burnley ViewPoint from the ground up.
