I was approached by the Burnley Words Festival to design the website for Burnley ViewPoint, a new hyperlocal journalism project born out of the festival’s journalism workshop. The goal was to create a platform that would showcase the talents of local writers and creatives, while highlighting the unique stories of Burnley.
The site, launched in December 2024, serves as a space for community-driven content, including stories, poetry, and images. I worked closely with the Burnley Words Festival team to build a user-friendly website that would serve as a central hub for submissions, content management, and community engagement.
This project allowed me to blend my design skills with my passion for supporting local communities and initiatives.
Burnley ViewPoint is a volunteer-run platform, and I am very proud to have contributed to its development from the ground up.
